Sorry to interrupt this rousing argument birthed from complete stupidity. But my bird Beaker does this same this with his food dish. Its round and he gets in there and does his thing for, seriously, hours at a time. He also has a boyfriend, his name is Sammy. I love them dearly, but I tell I wonder about them sometimes, good luck with your bell ringer

Hm, he actually started doing that once when my Russian tutor was in the room. She was sitting across from him - and she's a proper, well-mannered woman - and her eyes just popped out of her head as I heard the bell ringing behind me.
