Dakota Meyer, a Medal of Honor recipient, attends the Morning Colors ceremony and the graduation of Charlie Company, 1st Recruit Training Battalion, Recruit Training Regiment as the reviewing official aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C. (MCRDPI) . Morning Colors is the ceremony where the National Colors are raised above MCRDPI and the graduation of Charlie Company marks the end of 12 weeks of recruit training and is the last event the new Marines will participate in before departing.
