  • @SubZeroSkyLine It depends on how much you're eating. But usually it's easier to do both.

  • hey man i was listening to one of your talk radio and you said anything under 50% of my max heart rate is recovery. well my max is right under 200 and my resting is 45... so that means i have about another 50 beats in recovery mode still... so if i didnt like 3 hours of cardio a day walking keeping my heart rate real easy under 50% of my max that i would burn hecka calories and maintain that muscle? so the stories about long low intensity cardio burning muscle isnt always true?

  • @0587dave You are absolutely right. BUT just raising your heart rate because of walking or running doesn't mean you'll burn muscle. When you're at 50% of your max heart rate you can build and repair tissue so if you had a cold you could do easy cardio and get better.

  • Depends on how much you're eating but usually 20-30 mintues of cardio will not consume muscle.

  • Alright there! Have you ever tried - fast abs magic (should be on google have a look)? Ive heard some great things about it and my work buddy got ripped 6 pack abs and lost tons of belly fat with it.

  • Hello! Your videos have helped me a lot and am just wondering if my FAT LOSS isgoing the right direction.

    Here we go:

    (1) I am at a Calorie Deficit of -500 a day of what I need to maintain weight, that should be equivalent of -3500 calories a week (My protein intake is about .8g to 1g my weight also, carbs/fat are in check)

    (2) I exercise 20-25 minutes of med.intense cardio in the morning and at evening, 30-40 min med. to high intense weight lifting. I do both 5-6x a week.

  • Hi steve, i am male 5'9 and weigh 155 lbs. I have lost some weight through cardio but finding it really hard to loose the last 2 lbs since i introduced weight training to my workout, i do about 30-40 mins cardio 3 x week plus light weight training. is this because of the weight training? i am definitely on a calorie deficit diet. Thanks.

  • something to be aware of is that losing weight too fast means you are dong something that is "abnormal". you are striving to do something using willpower.

    by losing less, but still losing (1 lb seems optimal to me.) is an almost effortless change in your everyday activity . bet on people being lazy and you'll win.

    <-- losing 1lb a week going on 4 month now. so easy.

  • I used to lose about two or three pounds a week, but I've lost a lot of weight so now I'm losing about half a pound a week
