Hello, I want to use LED lighting to hide behind some sheer curtains, for decoration, where would I buy these? and how do I hide them behind sheer curtains? Also how can I control the different color lighting?

Would it work if I soldered ribbon cable to the LED legs and then touched the cable to the right ends of a AA battery?

You would need to use two AA batteries in series. Stack one battery on top of the other or you could use Digi-Key cell holder SBH-321AS-ND, this has a builtin switch and would provide the 3 volts needed to turn on the LED.

And then I would just use electrical tape to hold the ribbon cable to the battery?

Also, would solder work as a substitute for electrical tape? Or would that be dangerous?

The battery is a large mass and it takes a lot of hear to solder to a battery, plus you need to be careful not to damage the battery by over heating it. I would suggest staying with the electrical tape.

how long do these little lights last? that looks really fun, but will they burn out in like 2 days?

After 2 days it does start to dim. After 4-5 days it drops off considerably. Thanks for viewing.
