Astrology is Not Science but Occultic Mystical Religion

ASTROLOGY is the belief that national destinies & individual destinies are predetermined by the relative positions of the stars in the sky as they correlate to the planet earth. An astrologer believes that the arrangement of stars, planets, & constellations at the time of one's birth sets a determined pattern in the life of that person. Oriental or Chinese astrology has twelve "signs" or animals (i.e., rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, sheep, monkey, rooster, dog & pig) which correspond to twelve different years. Western astrology has twelve signs for twelve houses in one year. Astrology was thought to be a science until the sixteenth century, when the Copernican Revolution challenged the popularly held geocentric view of Ptolemy's astological zodiac (which considered the earth as the center of the universe & that the earth was flat). Astrology is easily refuted by modern astronomy (example, above the latitude 66 degrees it cannot be calculated what point the zodiac is ascending on the horizon) but this has not diminished popular contemporary belief in this superstition. Because of the occultic nature of religious astrology it is greatly condemned throughout the Bible (2 Kings 17:16, 23:5; Isaiah 47:13, Amos 5:26, Acts 7:39-43, 13:6-12, etc.). Astrology originated most likely in ancient Mesapotamia with the Babylonians being famous for their religious worship of the stars. Obviously this group are not historical scholars nor anthropologists and i do not think that they even understand any other religion other than the one that they practice . I think that if they even read the Greek Philosophers on Sacred Texts.com they might be able to have an enlightened discussion on this topic and remember that god states OT that the Firmament holds signs for our use and the three wise men used astrology to travel from the East to attend Jesus's birth. check Wiki for info

The words astrology and cult are misused today from their original meanings. I don't refer here to newspaper horoscopes or to Jim Jones. But Christianity and other religions definitely have astrological elements. Someone mentioned Zeitgeist the movie. While that movie makes some interesting and probably valid points, some of it was unsupported exaggeration. Either way, all religions and mystical practices have zero evidence to support their claims and are infested with hucksters and con men.

Everything is rooted from Astrology, and yes, even religion, Jesus, the Pisces age we are currently in etc..Just look how some churches even have two fish opposing each other on the church windows (Pisces)! the three wise men followed the stars that would lead them to the christ child....is that not astrology! the 12 planets, the 12 apostles, in my fathers house there are many mansions, christ died when the sun went down, christmas is on winter solstice, jesus carried fish pisces, john was the water bearer...astrology is the bible!

First astrology cannot predict anything so you are off to a bad start. Anyone who believes this is wrong. Astrology is merely one of multiple ways of representing who we are. It is also proof of ID.

Second you misused "signs" and apparently don't know the bible coz its very pro-astrology. To scratch the surface, the three wise men were astrologers so w/o astrology, no Jesus! Jesus was the sign of fish (pisces). Evil people. The Bible is filled with references to astrology. Evil book.
