Maybe it's "work lead" where you come from but round here we call it the "earth". The "electrode holder" is usually called a "handpiece" here and electrodes are known as "sticks" or "rods".

Just a quick Comment. you should not refer to the work lead as a ground. Its actually not a ground for the Welding source. Should always be refered to as WORK LEAD.
