Foreigners NOT allowed, Japanese ONLY!!!

Imaging going to Japan with the glee of good impressions of the Happy go lucky Japanese people and their culture, and being told about their wonderful craft of Manga, anime and media, then actually in Japan and denied service to a particualar specialty shop because you aren't Japanese. YES the same country that brought you Dragon Ball Z, Bomberman hero, Nintendo, Sony and many others feel as though you shouldn;t enter certian establisments or resturaunts because you are DIFFERENT. Racism in Japan could be called "cultural narcissim," an ingrained belief that everything Japanese is better than everything foreign. An Australian comedian made a joke that Japanese tourists fly JAL, stay in Japanese hotels, carry Sony cells, and go to Japanese restaurants, so they should just stay home and watch a movie about Australia. The Japanese buy almost nothing from other countries but expect us to buy everything from them. My response is to buy nothing Japanese if I can help it.

I'd love to say "This is a huge pile of bullshit". BUT, you've mentioned spas and such. Are you aware that in Japan, you CANNOT have any "tattoos" if you wish to enter an establishment where you expose your skin (incl some beaches). It was originally intended to shut the Yakuza out, due to their presence making it uncomfortable for everyone, generally speaking... And the store clerk at Akihabara was probably trying to say "No No, I only speak Japanese" Its all probably a misunderstanding right?

@strongheart8 1. Most Japanese people dont have good english, would explain why they would try to use as many japanese things as possible when in other countries, though im sure this is incorrect.

Get over the BLACK issue and you are right the Japanese do not have a word for racism because they are not racist. You are not Japanese and they do not have to like you. Japanese national language is Japanese, if you don’t speak Japanese learn it. Japanese national language is not English. @AmericaGapesYou Even though "speak fucking English" is rude, it does have aspects of common sense to it. How does it make any common sense to go to another country as a foreigner and not want to learn the language? It is basically like me coming to Japan and saying I am not going to speak Japanese, I'm going to speak English and everyone has to conform to that whether they like it or not.
