George Lucas, owner of the Yosemite Street Meat Market & Deli, demonstrates how to perfectly cut a raw chicken into 10 pieces. Video/editing: Tara Cuslidge Recordnet.com
Thanks for making it simple...It's been a while since I did it so when I needed directions tonight I came online and found your video...It really was pretty simple...Definitely key to have a sharp knife too...Butchered up 2 chickens tonight...Yeah!
Thank you for this simple video. After being vegetarian for 18 years I've gone back to eating meat. But only the kind raised on pasture that doesn't come in convenient cuts. Your instructions helped me start a chicken stock. My results weren't nearly as pretty, but I did it. And I realize I need a sharper knife!
There must be 50 ways to cut your chicken. In the meat dept we used to do one for restaurants that removed the spinal column in a skinny strip leaving the ribs more edible & attached to the breasts. I still use that on my chickens at home but you don't see it often, think it's an Iowa thing.
good job...
