REPORT: In Algeria's Annaba region, two out of three young people are unemployed. Many dream of getting away, while others say it is up to them to build a better country after the dark years. FRANCE 24's reporters went to meet this generation.

  • GUYS wtf !! y do we keep saying berbers, arabs !!!

    EL DJAZAIR WAHDAA !!!!

  • She was dressed conservatively, all she showed was her arm, how is that in any way suggestive?

Also, do you think that because someone doesn't like the way somebody is dressed it gives them the right to harass and abuse them? People in England don't insult your sisters because they dress conservatively, it's common courtesy.

I've been to Algeria, and personally, I was shocked.

  • @whatsinthatbox that would be such good news for us Europeans.

    But I doubt it.

  • im not algerian' Im france' But dont you guys hate the media for brainwashing all westerns saying that all muslims look the same.

  • voila un bon exemple une femme qui travaille et essaye de batir sa vie bravo

  • @dzlove

no btmemory is right about the women thing!! I go to Algeria allll the time and My mom's family is pure Algerois.. The capital has been invaded by lkaviya ta3 les villages.. and all women are insulted! we're not even allowed out in Algiers.. we circulate around homes of family members.. because the streets are so vulgar! c la realite ma soeur! we have to accept it so that we may cure it.

  • @btmemory

Yes, these people get worse, My mother's family is from Algiers and I've personally seen them(hetistes) insult even those with "Jelbab" full chador and niqab!! They take this to extreme levels!! such a shame to our country.

  • @dzlove

ahh thank you!! I'm Berber too and have never in my life been oppressed or insulted by an "Arab" Algerian.. we're all Algerians! Lots of Love!

  • @yapnop2 I agree ! It's the outsiders (mainly the French and Europeans) who want to create this separation! We Algerians don't make these distinctions in our daily lives. We're Algerians first and foremost!

  • @btmemory Well, u sound like an immigrant to me not like a native Algerian. U seem to have a similar attitude to the European one. U went to Algeria a few times and u think know it and can judge it.

  • @CazadorDeZopencos Lol have u ever been to Algeria? Or are u just basing ur opinion on some ignorant stereotypes and a video? I'm Algerian and i've also been to Spain and i can tell you that there are quite a few similarities in both looks and landscape. Algeria is like a continent in its geography u can find everything and u can't judge it by only seeing one state. Also, don't forget that Spain was occupied by North Africans so its only logical to have similarities.

  • @dzlove

Yes, I agree. This is a biased and uncomplete news report, typical of the french media about Algeria. The majority of Algerians have no desire to migrate, apart from petty criminals, hookers and homosexuals for obvious reasons. Even college Graduates are not willing to go to Europe, because it's no longer financially attractive. My family is from that wilaya, I was there last month on holiday and saw it for myself.
