@krod62 Nice comment! :) The A10 is a terrific aircraft. I live not far from RAF Alconbury where these were stationed, and I was very sorry to see the "TankBusters" leave, as I loved to watch them fly. Some of them were deployed to nearby RAF Wyton near Huntingdon (10th Tactical Fighter Wing I believe?). Some people say these are ugly aircraft, but I have to disagree! ;) I think they are nice looking, especially in the air, nose-on. That GAU-8 Avenger cannon is a serious piece of kit.

@Nosteratees I spent two years in England, at RAF Bentwaters and Woodbridge. 1982 to 1984, lived in Ipswich. I loved it. I had to show my brother some of the vids of the A10 to convince him that this is a real airplane. He was always an F-15,F-16 kinda guy. He did always get a hard-on about the Extremely daring mission's that the Tornado's flew during Desert Storm. Luv ya man, write to me anytime. Brits are cool. Hate the French!!

that was an emergency jettison, normally that rack that popped off wouldnt go, unless the plane ejects it to lose weight

Ugly as sin on the ground but one of the sexiest and most badass planes ever to take flight once it's in the air.
Can someone have a word with your department of defense and see if they'll sell some to us in the UK now that you're done with them? :D
