@101jir oh thats right, i forgot about that one, still i think it'd be a very good episode to have a combat related PTSD one. thank you for reminding me of that one
@uchihaitachi181 Actually, I just realized that they did do one about PTSD, though not combat based. Hard Times, DS9: When O'Brien has the mental lockup by the Cardassians. Not combat based though.
@101jir I think that would be a good episode, it would be a very close to home episode that alot of people could relate to, it'd probably have to take place somewhere after the Dominion War though since that's the most recent war.
You know, I never realized this before, but Red Alert sounds a bit like an alarm clock =P. They really should have an episode where a member of the crew has heavy combat PTSD. His alarm clock goes off and he freaks out because he thinks it's red alert. I want to say that's funny, but then because PTSD is such a serious issue, it's kindof not.
The best alert sound in Star Trek however was used e.g. when they opened the hangar doors in the shuttle ramp of the Enterprise D. Hence it is a Next Generation sound. A strange double siren sound with a lot of reverb. Kinda creepy and definitely alarming. Would have been the best fit for an "abandon ship" alert, i think. Unfortunately I can't find it anywhere on youtube.

Again, just the Voyager sounds.

At first I read 1:02 as "Typical after a catastrophic event" =D. As if catastrophic events are typical, or they have to abondon ship often =P.

the intruder alert from the episode "prey" would have been so badass.
although it sounds pretty much like the blue alert, it has something different to it.
