exactly! and the most vital feature to me was being able to import video from other sources, like a video capture card. now you can only use videos that are already on your computer or transfered directly from a video camera. that's just HORRIBLE.

Yup. I speeded up a separate part along with a part I wanted. thAT SEparate part I wanted normal... That was what got me mad, when it kept not working right. Oh, computers......they sure can tick someone OFF!

windows movie maker is one of the most unstable pieces of software i've ever used. they made it a LOT worse in Windows Vista. i don't blame you at all, i've had similar troubles myself, and i know computers well too, which makes it even more frustrating. i love computers, but i hate horrible software <<

YEah! On Windows Vista, they took out the feature to take a still picture from video! ...just another example of newer things being worse than the old!
