Fritz Kreisler, violin.
Orchestra conducted by Eugene Goossens.
Recorded in 1924 and 1925.
(This is the only recording of the work by Kreisler)

  • @violiner9391 In fact he recorded several concertos by Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Mozart,

    Paganin/Kreisler and probably others I can't remember at the moment.

  • It was the Royal Albert Hall orq. cond.by Eugene Goosens.

  • This is absolutely sublime, and delightfully unique (as is usual for Fritz Kreisler :) )

    However, correct me if I am wrong, but I think that the orchestra accompanying Mr. Kreisler is not an orchestra but a band. That is to say, I am not hearing any string instruments in the recording.

  • This is so good. The man is an artist. The timing and modularity of both orchestra and musician are skills whih are all but gone now.

  • I had no idea that kreisler recorded a concerto :D
