Dennis was still only 15 or so when he did this beautiful vocal for Gussie Clarke. Big Youth was just establishing himself when he did the deejay part, also for Gussie.

  • Gwarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrn Dennis Brown. After weeks of searching I finally found this song. If there was only one song I could listen to for the rest of my life it would be this one. I can't believe a person could sing a song that sounds so sweet and beautiful. I played this over and over and over and over again for the whole night. It's only a shame I couldn't see him perform it. Me woulda fling ah £50 note pon de stage. Thanks Dennis Brown. You're truly missed. Nuff Nuff respect. RIP.

  • @yellyyow when i saw luciano pon the street , i&i said to him " thanks , for carrying on dennis brown works" every time i ever saw luciano touch the stage he sing a dennis brown tune.

  • king greetins good or should great soand a little like errol dunkly style

  • una de mis rolas favoritas en verdad que sentimiento

  • BAD BAD TUNE !!!!!!!

  • in all my time listenin to reggae this is probably the pinnacle in perfection on vocal and roots on my journey so far...

  • Very nice to hear the vocal and DJ pieces together. I'm not 100% sure who produced the Dennis Brown vocal. It appeared in JA on a pre-release 45 credited as 'Their Own Way' and stamped 'African Museum'. So it's likely that it was produced by Gregory Isaacs (and possibly Errol Dunkley as well, as they were originally partners in AM) and then given to Gussie Clarke, who produced the Big Youth cut. In any case, this version is definitely the original, the other Gussie produced versions are later.

  • no other reggae artist , can ever come close,. to dennis brown vocalie. besides luciano ,and he started out imitating dennis!

  • this isn't the original version. Biggup for uploading it, but If you want to listen come check it out on my page.

    Peace & Love to all!

  • Very nice.
