The "beast" is hiding where we often do not dig very deep - namely within ourselves - within our wrong thinking that comes from feeling separated from the One.

The "beast" has to with our primitive reptile brain only able to function in a DUAL MODE - it is either attack and/or defense - it is always outside sources that are blamed for one owns mediocrecy and other not so charming sides and attitudes.

The "Beast" is in resistance and it goes hand in hand with the fearful ego who wants to control people and the surroundings to feel "safe". The ego is fuelled by our wrong thinking, and the "beast" is a symptom of us being disconnected from the Unity within - we are stuck in dualism and contribute to the madness of the world by our own inner chaos - it all bites itself in the tail you can say.
