Part 1
Ages ago the bbc accidently lost a lot of its recordings of old Doctor who episodes, while some of these have been recovered 108 are still missing.

1 of these was a 1part episode called Mission to the Unknown designed as a prelude to the epic the Daleks masterplan.

It is the 41st century. On the hostile jungle planet of Kembel, the Daleks have brought together the leaders of six galaxies in an alliance to destroy the Human civilisation. However, deep within the jungle, three crashed astronauts stumble upon the conference. With no escape, no Doctor and no hope the astronauts desperately try to warn Earth at any cost.

Made in seven months on no budget whatsoever, Mission to the Unknown is the remake of the classic lost episode of the same name written by Terry Nation. Sticking very close to the script the Belfast-based S.K.P.B has revived the story in a attempt to bring back a lost piece of Doctor Who history... Please enjoy this Doctor who fan film

  • I cant really praise this enough but i think it would have benefited from Black and white? :)

  • @MrClassicDoctorWho Cheers :) Very much appreciated, shooting in black and white was a possibility for a while but we went with colour for various reasons, mainly being we would have more freedom to make Kembel look more alien through colour correction, the original version having the advantage to bring in unique plant props. I did make a point of desaturating everything except green in most shots though :)

  • you guys have created without a doubt the best Doctor who fan video of youtube. The acting, staying true to the orignal material, the production, and special effects all are spectacular.

I wish you had a William Hartnell and/or Patrick Troughton clone so you all could redo all the other missing episodes.

  • Ahhh if there was ever a better reason to endorse human cloning :)

    Thanks for the Comment :)

  • It's very thrilling to see a young group of people with this much enthusiasm, dedication and talent resurrecting lost gems from the vaults. It was extremely well made! I really enjoyed it. Definitely 5 stars.

  • @GamerXP11 I still wear those shoes, turning into a plant didn't stretch them too far out of shape to be unusable fortunately ;)

  • i like the fact that at 7.50 he's wearing sneakers

  • @TB1fan cool. It really works. The Daleks are top notch too.

  • I liked seeing what you have done with this episode, and recreating it. Perhaps you could get the audio version of the Dalek Masterplan and use William Hartnell's voice along with an actor who could look like the first Doctor.

It worked for Darth Vader. In the classic trilogy David Prowse was Darth Vader, but his voice was played by James Earl Jones. Jones also was Vader's voice when Hayden Christansen was in the suit. Could be something to think about.

  • Hi! Would you and your fellow filmmakers like to be part of a massive film project? I have a plan to bring together some of the most talented Doctor Who fan film writers, designers, effects people, directors, producers and more in a massive collaborative effort and pool their genius toward a single end. If you'd like to be a part of it, please get in touch!

  • Very, very good. However, next time, I would put it in black and white, but not biggie. Still, wonderful!

  • Thanks for making this! Finally, this episode can now exist.

  • nice one guys!
