My review of the Scorpion EXO:400 Skull Bucket Helmet.

I have been wanting to do some gear review videos. This advice is just my outtake, my style, and how I (personally) like or dislike gear. As always....comments are always appreciated.
p.s. - Sony Vegas has been giving me syncing problems, bear with me. =) If you can't see the sync problems now, just wait for the next gear review videos, you'll see. And it's unfixable. =(

  • Good review, I just ordered the other version of that helmet. That jackets nice bro! Ride safe

  • @MrBlackem1 thanks man. For the cost and reliability you will be impressed with the helmet. The jacket is actually a Frank Thomas which they don't make anymore. The designer of FT went to Cycle gear and now designs Bilt and Sedici.

  • what jacket are you wearing in this video? and have you tried the exo-1000 helmet?

  • @R4NG3R2012 I am wearing a frank thomas jacket.....lower end full leather jacket. It's pretty good and does the job and relatively warm in the winter months. I have not tried the exo 1000 personally although my roomate has that helmet. He like it for the most part but the flip down inside visor vibrates and rattles and bugs the hell of him sometimes. almost to the point of him buying a new/different helmet.

  • Would you ever consider buying a Shoei or a Bell that is 400-600 dollar range? I am looking at getting a bike. people are telling not to skimp out on the helmet: saying i should get a $600 one.

  • @mcasuse that is a very good question. Some people think the more money they spend, the better the quality in the helmet. In "SOME" cases this is true. The Scorpion EXO-400 does meet road requirements not only in the U.S. but worldwide as well. Yes there are safer helmets and some say take the extra precaution. I have been down on a Bell, Shoei, and some lesser known name helmets....all helmets were DOT, SNELL, and other certified.....never had a problem. Hope this helps.

  • Just picked up this helmet in a different graphic. So far I love it. In a way its a bit better than my agv k3 and the visor is hell of a lot better than my shoie x-11, I got the gold visor too. And when are you going to do reviews on all the other gear? Including your f4i and what's on it

  • Great review and taste. I've got the Chameleon Skull Bucket w/ gold mirror. Noisy but comfortable. Anti-fog shields work pretty well too.

Scorpion offers a lot of value for the price. Definitely looking at the EXO-500 Oil or EXO-1100 Kranium as my next lid...

  • @lampingromeo holy crap......wish I would have found mine that cheap. lol. I bought this one about a year ago.

  • Scorpion makes some good gear, the EXO 400 is a great price point helmet, find them at STG for $59.95 on Closeout (limited to stock) or pickup an EXO 700 for $99.95!
