The state boundaries on insurance companies were made by buying off politicians to keep competition to a minimum.
The republican solution to healthcare: Go to charity if you get terminal cancer. Pathetic.

"Health Care is not a human right(...)"
Funny how it isn't a right yet millions of people go to the ER and get treated for late stage illnesses without needing to pay for the treatment.
Isn't this what you really mean ,because health care is most definitely a right thanks to ER required treatment?
Health care is a right ,but we would rather pay more treating someone in the late stages then finding the illness early on and saving significant tax payer money.
Wasting money good?

It just goes right over their heads.

If ended ridiculous war on terror she funds, could be helping AMERICANS for healthcare/JOBS,ACTUAL national defense, not Bush military adventurism!Davis supports 5 TRILLION to international banksters! 2 from treasury/FED without congress, 2.7 from congress to "help taxpayers"by giving it to banksters! To ensure banks profit off debt creation at taxpayer expense! Since almost decade (2001 opposed to 2008)2.3 Million less jobs,26 Million more people!Davis is for status quo/DC irresponsibility!
-
Susan Davis's solution to everything is more continued debt and DC irresponsibility, corporatism, special interests, and lying rhetoric! AND expanding/funding Bush's SAME costly 'war on terror' to other countries!

@shizzyfinn You won't find a connection there, IPS doesn't list their doners, But you can find a list of orgs that Soros funds, at discover the networks dot org.(no spaces) IPS is listed, as well as three of IPS's partner organizations.
Yes please, go to their website and click on Donate. There you will see a little sentence that says. "If you do not wish to donate on line, you can send your donation to the Institute for Policy Studies,"
...which happens to be funded by one of the richest men in the US, George Soros. And how did he get rich? Not by hard work, NO! He did it by corporate takeovers. He stands to make billions thru Cap And Trade. Now he hires actors to mock the Tea Parties.
Can't you once, just ask yourself why?

@bookhound63 Wow, if we were hired by George Soros, no one mentioned it to me! Thanks for the 411, bookhound... sounds like I'm due some back wages... ;)
As for the Institute for Policy Studies, I looked at its website, and I couldn't find any evidence of connection to George Soros. But I did learn that the Institute is involved in a range of projects with noble goals such as peace, social justice, and environmental conservation. I liked it so much, I'm going to try to join! Again, thanks!

@shizzyfinn Wow! no reply? What happened? Did you look it up? You are being funded by one of the richest men in the world! How does it feel to be a hypocrite?

@bookhound63 actually, I looked at the site you suggested, and did my best to find the info you describe, but I couldn't. What I did find regarding George Soros - that he has long supported liberal policies that I support - makes me like him even more! As for health care, for the record, I'm in favor of a single-payer solution. But you and I might agree on this: I think the reform plan passed by Congress and signed by Obama is terrible, and helps insurance companies, not Americans.
