This particular Doctors Show on MORGELLONS wasn't about cancer, thus not having anything to do with what you're saying in regards to cancer - or trying to compare the two.

Whether or not you choose to continue to DEBUNK MORGELLONS or not, that's not going to stop it from continuing to infect people, nor the study of it.

Morgellons is listed on the NIH site as being associated with Lyme Disease which can be very serious when left untreated in some people.

Both Morgellons and Lyme/Borrelia have been misunderstood by the medical professionals.

I also agree with awake 12100. Although any publicity is good publicity, shows such as this really playdown the seriousness of the issue. There's constant itching and burning but there are many other symptoms too. It is certainly life changing. I am or rather was a tv director and journalist. If I have a good day I rejoice but a lot of the time I am either in bed or in the shower hoping to get some relief. I only have to go out in the car for an hour and the itching returns.

I don't have cancer - though many of my family members have had - but I do have this awful disease and I can tell you there are days when I wished I had cancer or even AIDS. The torment is 24x7 - of the very worst kind. Even as I write this I find I am missing out words I was sure I'd typed. It's a kind of brain fog.

Here we have the richest country on earth with the greatest number of gifted people and one capable of going to the Moon and Mars but unable to say what is causing Morgellons.

Being in the medical field and having a loved one that fits current criteria, I can tell you that treatment protocols can be derived based on disease processes affecting body systems without a definite cause to contribute them to. Focusing on inhibited bodily functions with targeted testing is a start, leads to relief of symptoms and better quality of life for the patient.
