Olympus E-PL1 with Panasonic 20mm/1.7 Pancake. continous Focus test (AF-C) with fixed central AF-point. The Focus follows not good and works not very stable. File recorded and uploaded in HD- resolution (1280x720) without any editing

Yes, it is no problem to use it with manual focus. The 20mm pancake is really good and very sharp. I like it, not only in connection with the E-PL1, also with the Panasonic GH2. The autofocus of the GH2 works much better in video mode then the autofocus of the E-PL1...

What was the aperture? Maybe if you are able to set it lower, the depth of field would be wider and it wouldn't had to autofocus so much?
