  • i suggest you give it a proper burial and funeral. for the loss of a great computer. i still have mine and it's working great. in fact i'm typing this on my vostro right now.

but on the bright side now you can get a macbook or windows 7! hope that helped (obviously it didn't).

  • i have the 1525 and it is shit.

almost impossible to play any kind of game on. horrble slow, AND it brakes down ALL the time

  • I have the plague of a vostro 1700. I got bought it and its horrible: stupidly heavy (rly not a LAPtop, more lyk a small desktop, no graphics capabilities (intel chipset 965 (struggles to play 720p HD and I feel like crying when I try to game)). I really don't know what you would use this so called laptop for, it has a fairly powerful processor, but with negligible gfx processing power it never really comes into good use. Do not buy and do carry with a one strap bag, it will break your shoulder.

  • Me I have also a laptop Dell Vostro 1700 problem:

    1) surge on USB port and audio jack

    2) frise of the mouse pointer when USB disk is pluged so it's imposible to work with external hard drive.

    I have contact Dell by:

    - chat

    - email

    - phone

    - mail

Dell change PAD, keybord, and motherboard.

The problem is still here and I don't know what to do.
