I can tell you why u don't stand under a tree in a lightning storm. Lightning will hit the tallest things it can find. If that's a tree then it will hit the tree and spray out and go to the next tallest thing. You!!!! And because most shoes are made of rubber (since rubber doesn't conduct electricity very well) it will be trapped inside of you and can cause immediate death!!! So there you go. Thats why you don't stand under a tree in a lightning storm.
