Sorry I messed up at the end.

It is well with my Soul

Words by Horatio G. Spafford, 1873
Music by Philip P. Bliss, 1876

When peace, like a river, attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea billows roll;
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!
My sin, not in part but the whole,
Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more,
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

And Lord, haste the day when my faith shall be sight,
The clouds be rolled back as a scroll;
The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall descend,
Even so, it is well with my soul.

It is well, with my soul,
It is well, with my soul,
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

  • hey mate if we're living in same city I'll pick you up for coffee and the play the song/guitar till perfect

  • Hahaha God bless that sense of humor of yours.

  • what matters most is the sincerity...

    practice makes perfect.

  • Absolutely, God bless you!

  • Keep it up, brother! You have accurately conveyed the beauty and God-honoring nature of this beautiful hymn. Wish you lived in Minnesota---I'd like to play with you (a little mandolin). As for any negative comments? Don't let those bother you. There are some people out there who are committed to misery and there is nothing you can do for them. Just keep following Jesus, my friend! Peace!

  • Thank you brother. God Bless.

  • What's wrong with you people??

    Your comments are completely rude..have you ever heard of a healthy fear of the Lord?? This man is one of His and is praising Him. God can see this man's heart for Him and delights in it. It's scary that you're making fun of that and of someone who the Lord loves.

    I pray that the Lord would convict you of this and would give you all His heart for compassion and praise and LOVE for one another...and that you would know Jesus if you don't already.

  • Wonderfull! Keep on praising the Lord brother!

    Eph.5:19

    Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;

    Col.3:16

    Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

  • yes.. you have given me a smile today.. a first smile.. God bless you ! I

  • Praise the Lord that there are people who still thing from their heart.

  • Here we go again!! What's the deal with you wearing extra small shirts, and a ragged hat. I think Jesus would agree that you need an edge up. See if some of your catrachos can hook you up. I think your lips got in the way of you singing! Work on it!

  • great song, but you would sound a lot better if you opened your mouth, wear a shirt that fits and lose the torn hat

  • hey bro. your hat is tilted.

    Just let'n you know..

  • He man, it's very cool to hear a brother praising the Lord.

    The lyrics really touch my heart because Horatio went threw so much and still kept praising the Lord.

    Also Jesus went threw so much and he did it for us.

    My sin - O the bliss of this glorious thought! -

    My sin, not in part, but the whole,

    Is nailed to His cross, and I bear it no more,

    Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul!

    Keep going on bro.

    Gerrit Bandstra ( the Netherlands)

  • This is one of my favourate hymns. Keep on singing and God bless you.
