Xr70 w/ 125 cc lifan motor and ct70 wheels 1st gear

this is a bike i put together pretty cheap. The bike i found for $100, the new motor was $250, new rear shock $130 ct70 wheels i had laying around. And i am going throught the woods in 1st gear because it geared for lots of speeed

your setup is exactly like mine, bought my xr70 with a bad motor for 100 bought the lifan for 250 dropped it in and got it wired, got a clutch cable set up for it but I cannot get the xr70 throttle cable to work for it and I didnt get one with the engine. Where did you get yours?

@stevensj13 You can use the stock throttle i did you might need to take off some of the cable sheath, iI think thats what i did. By the way the bike is still going and still awsome!

Are the replacement parts the same as the honda parts? Is it duralble like honda motors

I have had this bike going since 2008 and i never had a problem with it. The lifan motors are different from the chinese motors do not get one with electric start!  I have a bunch of the lifan motors in my bikes and they rock! allways start easy and run strong. love em!!!!!

thinkin of dumpin one of these motors in my xr70. have you had any problems with them and how is the low end power?

iTS AWSOME! I love lifan motors i have 5 off them in different bikes and have beat them up never had a problem, The low end tourqe is great! This bike what you see is me riding in first gear and it was plenty!, on the street its very fast!

@rarebikes88 ill look into it. I am gonna have to pull it outa the shed tomorrow and get some work done on it. never fired the engine so its still brand new

so lifans are pretty good? i just put on a 140 on my crf50 im not sure if i put the oil cooler on right though,also would i need a certain type of throttle cable? could i use the stock? maybe?

@ricnoah1993 For the most part, it's the engine that makes a bike faster.

This bike has a 125cc lifan, bigger bikes with the same engine would go slower since the power to weight ratio would be less.

Wheres a good place to purchase this motor on ebay or a website? And also is it an easy swap or does everything match
