Young up-and-comer George Eastman is thrust into the blue collar life of a rich uncle's family business where he's expected to learn the ropes from the bottom up. While paying his dues, Eastman becomes involved with Alice Tripp, a simple, trusting girl on the assembly line. When Eastman is finally introduced to high society he meets the gorgeous, sophisticated Angela Vickers and promptly forgets all about Alice. Only Alice won't be gotten rid of so easily - especially since their affair is about to result in an unexpected and (especially from Eastman) unwanted dividend.

  • @TheSalami123 Hey Salami, FYI ... Portrait in Black is available from JustOneNightOnly's channel. And the movie's full length too! Check it out!

  • @ElizabethTaylorMovie I only have eyes for you.

  • @HeatherGlen33 Actually Monty took Liz under his wing. Musn't you forget Monty was like 10 years older than Liz whom was acting in her first real film. I have to agree with you about Michael Jackson though, I think that was when Liz lost Monty she went a bit of the rails mentally.

  • @1simaddict1 Yeah he was definatley gay. He did have affairs with women but it was only because he felt guilty about his sexuality (because his upbringing was very homophobic). There was no committment in any of his relationships with women. You should read Patricia Bosworth's biography on him which includes a lot of quotes from Monty, he described it as " I wanted to love women, but I loved sleeping with men". Alot of his female sexual partners also decribed him as "impotent".

  • THANK YOU (^_^)!

  • What disgusting language in here. Get that from the newer movies? Monty was gay. Liz took him under her wing. She also protected M Jackson. Another freak. And Rock Hudson. Also gay, was another dear friend. Read Debbie Reynolds book. Its a must. She tells us about the real Liz Taylor. Poor Eddie Fisher. She chewed him up and spit him out.

  • @1simaddict1 Yes he was ! But he had a really strong friendship with Elizabeth Taylor for years and years
