@tarynegisele And alternitive that is better for your hair (if you only wish to add shine and deposite color) is demi-pernament haircolor, which can also be perchased as a clear glaze, and unlike henna, comes in a wide array of vibrant colors.

@zmoreno71 Add shine and deposit color- it is really not worth it. It coats each individual hair strand and makes it impossable to preform any chemical services on the hair successfully.Over time, the henna's smooth serface will scratch and your hair will loose it's luster and the only way to make it shine again, is more henna- it's a vicious trap. There is also no safe way to remove henna from your hair, other then to cut it out. Henna was fantastic for the ancient ejyptians, not so much now.

@ThePropheticfire no it won't, henna only deposits colour, it doesn't make your hair lighter. If your hair is naturally dark there is no way you can a bright red. You may be able to see a reddish tint when in bright light but that's just about it.

@21cosminutza Henna comes in virtually all colors except blond.
