Azariah Southworth was the creator, host, and producer of The Remix, a syndicated Christian reality show on the NRB, TBN, JCTV, and VTN networks. "The Remix" aired in over 128 million homes worldwide and watched by over 200,000 viewers each week on one of several networks.
Southworth, born May 13, 1986, is a resident of Nashville, Tennessee. He announced that he was gay on April 16, 2008, stating, "This has been a long time coming. Im in a place where Im at peace with my faith, friends, family and more importantly myself. I know this will end my career in Christian television, but I must now live my life openly and honestly with everyone. This is my reason for doing this." After making this public to the Out & About Newspaper in Nashville, TN it quickly became international news. Southworth was featured on HuffingtonPost.com, PerezHilton.com, The Advocate magazine, Fox News and many more. After coming out, Azariah Southworth was named one of Instinct Magazine's Leading Men of 2008. Azariah also advocated for social justice for LGBT people with the Soulforce Q 2008 Equality Ride. Southworth is currently writing a book titled "Appletinis & Ecstasy: the story of a gay Christian TV host."
