Healthy if you live further north you can try Fossil Park in Sylvania Ohio. It's near Toledo and open weekends May - Oct if I recall

atomi- be aware that the introductory fossil videos are more informative (about 15 of them ) , the field tip ones are fun to see the hunters

Fossil collecting at Parks is prohibited .There are many , many other locations to find this same rock layer with big sea shells .Its common , and legal at most hill cuts ( but not highways )

Sure - there is a fossil hunt with the Dry Dredgers this Saturday about 11 am .Not sure where but I can find out if your in the area .

The Dry Dredgers fossil hunt usualy the 4th Saturday of every month .You could meet me and my kids to hunt at other times .
