  • Thank you so much for posting this video. It makes me remember why I loved figure skating so much, before Cinquanta changed it.

  • Gorgeous. Not sure from which year this is, but if it's 1991, they definitely should've won the worlds. I believe they were first all the way to the FD, and then the judges did some trick with the placings to put Duchesnays 1st (who in their turn probably should've won in 1990). Good that at least one judge gave them the 6 they deserved, but 5.7-s are outrageous. And they also should've won the 1994 Olys. Damn the judges.

  • @akil3120 I think FD of Klimova-Ponomorenko were the best that year (one of the bests in the history of figure skating). But that year the best OD was theirs.

  • Maya is so gorgeous. Just stunningly beautiful.

  • Oh, this was wonderful. I just love them so much. These were their best years, when their marriage was still solid. After '92 you could see that the passion fizzled just a bit and they were performing for the sake of the performance.

  • Maya and Alexander were married in 1986. Oksana would have been about 14 around that time so I don't think the story is true.

  • They were really robbed that year! This od and their fd were simply exquisite.

  • They should win the Gold in 1991 Worlds!

  • Another great couple... thanks for posting

  • Can anyone tell me when Alexander and Maya started skating together? I recently heard that he actually skated with Oksana Grishuk before he started skating with Maya and got together with her and obviously then the affair with Oksana happened and ultimately they skated together again for a time. It seems like a fantastic story but in figure skating, I shouldn't be surprised! If anyone can tell me if any of that story is true, I'd appreciate it!
