Installing the new access door. This part of the trailer had a dent in it and the metal was torn. Much easier to install an access door than it is to repair the metal. Turns out that it is placed exactly where the original one on the other side is at. I got the door from a parts trailer.

  • Just bought a 55 Deville and will be starting the process in two weeks. Your videos are very informative and interesting. I am amazed at the amount of information I have gleaned so far. I am sending you a donation via PayPal to help get that video camera. Only on part 18 so have some viewing to do. Well done!

  • @PleiHoBei Thanks so much and I'm glad my videos are of help to you. There are more to come for the Deville too. Just need to get a little more time to finish editing them. Im actually doing a real job now for a while. LOL...

  • I was held hostage in traffic in Pigeon Forge TN, last week during the big spring rod run and saw a lot of nice old trailers, without your vids I would of never noticed them. It made the wait more interesting.

  • Oh cool. You should maybe look up a rally and attend sometime. It's a real nice experience. The people are super friendly and very willing to show you thier trailers.

  • Mechanix gloves or the ones made by Probilt are really nice gloves. They increase gripping power and are very flexable. One may even be called Bionic gloves.

  • Yep I want some...

  • "I'm pretty sure that door came off a Shasta"

    I believe you are right.

  • I'm pretty sure that door came off a Shasta? It looks like the same door to access the back of my fridge on the 61 Shasta?? Great job too, easy way to rid a nasty dent!!!!

  • "The Deville is shaping up very nicely"

Yes it is and thanks. I seem to be getting clumsier in my old age. But it helps keep the band aid people in business.

  • I hate electric anythings, though I have used them when needed. Probably because I am a tad clumsy and tend to pinch, nick or ouch myself sometimes with tools (got a bandaid on a tiny cut on my thumb right now-teach me to be a sloppy with a box cutter.)

The Deville is shaping up very nicely. : )
