@unevercalled they do and they treat jamie WAY better then they treated vanessa horrible and even if jamie missed a couple of elements they didn't scream at her so why would they treat vanessa different then jamie?

@BigThunderFan i mean i find it confusing why jamie dantzsher went back. it kinda suggests theyre not that bad but vanessa really wasnt coping and people were being so mean about her publicly im not surprised she broke down. they forget these are just kids

@unevercalled exactly and i think that she just didn't much like it anymore and she gave up on herself and thats what happened caz of steve rybecki screaming at her all the time every time she missed it he was standing waiting for her to yell at her caz of it and i don't think thats right caz you never want to see that and why beth who was most of the time standing next to him never said anything to him about that

@BigThunderFan strange thing is she liked having the pressure at the beginning in order to keep her trying her hardest at meets but i think over the time with steve rybecki yelling at her and all sorts she jst started beating herself up more and more. i hope shes happier now because she was definitely better than the alternates they chose and should have been on the squad

@unevercalled yeah i know and im not saying vanessa is a bad gymnast i love her as a gymnast i just think that she can't handle pressure pit situations when you have the gold medal riding on what your doing as a team and you have them behind you and the united states and your parents and your coaches and thats a lot of pressure on her

@BigThunderFan i think vanessa is just a classic case of being let down by her coaches. she, like dominique didnt hate bars in the beginning. valeri was a great fit for vanessa it seemed its a shame she didnt get here sooner

@unevercalled i think the pressure came from the fact that when she warmed up she could do it only caz there was no pressure of the score and it wasn't for real she could get up there and do it but if you remember dominique moceanu hated the bars too through the most of her career so i think she could have gone some where if she had the commanci taken out of her routine i mean i don't see why they were so determined to keep that skill in her routine i mean she hit the other stuff

@BigThunderFan i think the commenici definitely threw her. they shoulda taken it out and the rybeckis werent the right coaches for her either. she did better with valeri, but i think it was too late. im glad shes happier now and hope she wont look at not making the olympics team a failure.

@unevercalled i think if she can keep it cool and just clear her mind she can go places but i don't think it would have happened if she stayed with her coaches when you have a gymnast thats in that state of mind when she misses the bar on the commenci first of all its a skill from the 80s and second the bars are way closer together so why take a skill like that under the circumstances in the early 80s to now when times are different and the bars are different?

@BigThunderFan it was that and the pressure. she talked about switching gyms etc...it was a culmination of things. in all honesty if she was having so much probs on bars they shoulda switched her release move which always threw her
