Lovely footage - has brought back some memories of my regular Yarmouth to Lymington commute in the 90s - boy did that prow rattle! Pity all three are no more - sad stuff.

Interesting Video of the Old "Caedmon" and I remember those Prows would rattle in rough Weather.
Ironic it was the "Caedmon" when operating out of Portsmouth in the 1980's lost her Aft Prow while crossing in a Force 10 Gale and no one noticed it until it reached the Island!

Yes that story of the Caedmon prow is well known down here in Sleepy Hollow!
It wasn't unknown to find the prow end slipper plate to be dangling above a parked car when going to tie up in Lymington or Yarmouth.
Even rember the prow started lowering itself on one occaission, even after the securing pins had been put in or so it was thought.
