How to Disassemble/Reassemble a Hop-Up Chamber

This is a video showing what could potentially happen to your Hop-up when installing a Tightbore Barrel. I am doing this on a Tokyo Marui AK-47, but it is basically the same for most guns. You need to watch my How to-Tightbore video to get to the Hop-up Chamber of an AK, and for other guns, you'll have to get to it through other instructions. It puts a backspin on the BB which results with the BB going farther.

@5hiThAppEnS2 On how to disassemble the stock hopup, you will notice there is a brass hexagon shaped ring at the end of the hopup unit. If you take a wrench to that, it will loosen the unit, and you can then pull it off, do NOT twist it off. Learned that the hard way, twisted the unit, and broke several pieces in the hopup unit. Gun still works though, so that it good.

Tthe new barrel that you got, is it an AEG barrel? Because I believe the PDI hopup unit use that, dont have one yet so not 100%

You're a lifesaver. I just bought a used TM MP5K-PDW and the previous owner took a hacksaw to the inner barrel and the hopup bucking was shredded. Needless to say I replaced both. Thanks for posting!
