Zee is a 4-year old American Pit Bull Terrier mix with the most beautiful chestnut-colored coat. Zee is a little shy at first, but she really comes out of her shell once she knows you are a new friend. Zee will melt your heart with her soft eyes and sweet disposition, and you'll know you've earned a loyal companion when her tail begins a happy wag at the sight of you! Zee loves affection, she's a pleasure to walk, and she enjoys meeting other friendly dogs. Zee is also a famous painter! Her artistic paws helped create two wonderful paintings (pictured) for our annual Tuxes & Tails gala. The painting were auctioned off to the highest bidder to benefit all of the animals at the Seattle Humane Society - making Zee a truly singular pup!

Quotes from Zee's foster family: "Zee is a joyful dog. She loves walking new places with her nose to the ground (especially in tall grass and at the farmer's market) and happily greeting every dog she meets. At home, she can be playful -- always up for a game of tug or fetch -- but she can also be lazy, happy to sleep in on weekends while the other dogs whine for an early-morning walk. She loves running around in fields and at the beach, wading in the water and exploring the outdoors, then ending the day snuggled up on the couch for some TV or reading time. She is very treat-motivated, and we've been working on teaching her to sit and wait for her dinner, plus stay and down."
As with all of our dogs, Zee has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and behavior tested. She will go home with a certificate for an examination by a King County veterinarian and an identification tag. PLUS, most dog adoptions include six weeks of training in one of our on-campus dog behavior courses -- a great way to start off on the right paw and boost Zee's confidence!
