"Tell Me Why" is a track from the Spice Girls' 2000 album "Forever". It was meant to be a single after "Holler/Let Love Lead The Way".

Promo CDs were sent to radios with a Radio Edit version of the song and remixes by Thunderpuss and Jonathan Peters. But the commercial release, planned for March 2001, was cancelled after the Spice Girls themselves and Virgin Records decided not to do any more promotion for "Forever" and concentrate on the girls' solo careers.

Rumours at the time said that an official animated video had been made by Virgin, but with the release cancelled, that video never surfaced.

This non-official montage is made with official video stuff from the "Forever" era and the "Radio Edit" version of the song (with the original album intro included).

  • Forever is by far the best Spice album...All the vocals are much stronger than previous albums. So many great tracks were never released and its such a shame. 'Tell Me Why' was written about Geri leaving the group they explained this on an interview they did in 2000...Victoria also wrote a song called 'Whatcha talkin' bout' about Geri too. Both songs are quite bitchy but I feel very true and accurate about how they felt when Geri left...nevermind. Spice girls still rule!!!

  • Victoria owns this song!!!

FOREVER is the best album on earth!!!

    Love every bit if it!!!

  • @POSHBOYJC bullshit! BSB was actually better than them. spice girls are still hot though

  • @smck2009 no it doesn't. Geri and Victoria were the closest in the group and hung out outside of the group, even after the break up, so it's about Geri...

  • i like h wmel c desnt sing much n this and didnt contribute t this song either probably because its about gerri

  • @smck2009 Well,It makes more sense but for me it has more possibilities to be about Geri because she was Victoria's best friend in the Spice era. They even keep contact now I think. But it could be about Mel C too because they had released lots of song about Geri. Thay released Tell Me Why and Goodbye both about Geri :S

  • OMG!!!!! I LOVE SONG!! :D:D:D

    FOREVER SPICE

  • @POSHBOYJC

Actually Victoria's "Whatchu Talkin bout" is reumoured to be about Mel C not Geri given how Mel C was so estranged fromt he rest at the time the Spice Girls ended. It makes more sense imo

  • @POSHBOYJC the vocals are stronger because editing tools like autotune became available more widely after their first album came out and were beginning to come into vogue after their second. Don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Spice Girls fan but the difference is obvious.

  • I'M GONNA DOWNLOAD THIS ALBUM!!!

    BRING ME SUCH GOOD MEMORIES...

FOREVER IS THE BEST ALBUM NI DOUBT!!!

  • Best fan vid ever. Thank you

  • @whatcanih This song is 10 years old and was on an album ("Forever" in 2000) that didn't do well so no they wouldn't release it. They actually tried to back then but it didn't sell at all so they pulled it and broke up shortly after that. =/ It is still a great song though (:
