Veteran journalist Jiggy Manicad looks into the plight of Filipino nurses who are forced to pay to work as 'volunteers' for hospitals in order to obtain the work experience necessary for them to be able to apply for nursing jobs abroad. GMA 7, aired on January 18, 2011.
We created a website to become the voice of Filipino nurses. I agree that the salary of nurses must compensate their hard and health hazardous work. Please support the advocacy SIN, Salary Increase for Nurses. Commit the SIN at nursingcare101(dot)com/sin

Personally, i am soooo against this shitty policy and i am lucky RN coz im from batch 97. We didn't have this during our training. People of the senate, please help our RN's.

I am a registered nurse working abroad. I do understand the suffering of filipino Rn's seeking for working experience to be able to work abroad. I really dont understand why some hospitals demand fees for training and dont give any single compensation kike food or transport allowance. This is oviously profetering coz numbers of fil nurses in the philippines are so big that hospitals grab this chance to profit. Mag bago na kayo kaya wala umaasenso.
