@DISTURBINGIAN try putting sterile gauze inside the incision during healing.

@Keyangels188753 interesting idea. how much further out can a tongue stick out as a result?
-
@shatros Yes, this is why most people do it.
-
@k0rneliuz I heard that having this done can result in being able to stick your tongue out further. Is this true?
-
OMG OUCH! I need to get mine done but don't have the money... how much would it cost at a piercing place?
-
that guy is hot =P
-
@DISTURBINGIAN It should be stitched by a surgeon, like in my case. That would prevent it to grow back.

Interestingly it doesn't hurt that much, just a cold sensation like ice water dribling down the underside of your tongue. Had mine cut twice now but the bugger keeps growing back.

I have to have mine re-done again... I think we are going to try and remove part of it this time..

I think that's the way forward with mine, what have you been using to get rid of the scar tissue, crushed asprin?
DISTURBINGIAN 4 years ago
Haven't done anything.. haven't even heard of that... does it work? what do you do?

When it's cut the scar tissue it leaves on the bottom of the tongue makes it harder to split and apparently interferes a little with the healing. Crush an asprin up, add a drop of water and mix it so it's like cement, paste it on and leave it for a while and it'll burn off all but the densest scar tissue, might take a few aplications but it works.
