I don't want to over-simplify things, but this sort-of ended his career. He was having a pretty stellar year that year, and the redskins season ended with him headbutting the wall. It's sort-of unfortunate because he had to serve as a back-up mostly after this, and he was a pretty successful backup in Minnesota

I remember staying up late for that game as a kid. I believe Michael Westbrook ended up blowing comfortable field goal range by slamming his helmet down and forcing a penalty to move us out of FG range with just seconds left in OT. Skins missed the playoffs by one game that year. Thanks Gus and Mike.
