@MickScarborough Sounds like you ride with some tools. That mentality really bothers me. Not a REAL Harley? I don't even know what that means, it's so stupid. A sportster is a great bike for what it is. Not everyone wants a giant, Harley bagger. Sounds like your buddies drank the Koolaid, dropped a ton cash on their bikes, and now go around condesending people who didn't. Worst type of riders. All bullshit, no brains.

Someone should have told Sonny Barger he wasn't on a real Harley.

Whos the geezer that needs a Harley to pull a chick ? Jap bikes will never cut it? lol posers.Jap bikes will always run rings around Harley,Always remember Harley is only still around because of government intervened several times with tax payers money even recently.The japs were killing the industry with they superior motorcycles. Don't forget that!! Even Americans were dubious of buying Harley products. Because it was crap!so much so they were willing to let it go the same way as Indian.

Where im at the harley costs more. Wanted the 883 when it came out just looked cool. Its smaller in person and it is not comfortable at all. It rattles and vibrates alot. Not much power. Gas tank is tiny. The honda looks good but bland compared to the harley. But the honda is way more comfy and rides smoother. Its bigger and looks beefier than the iron. Has a bigger gas tank and is more refined. Both are short in the power dep for the amount of money they want. Got an m109r. This bike is beefy.

No matter how the Japanese try it will never be a Harley. Even tho they go, stop, handle better than a Harley they just don't cut it. And as for chick pulling power the Harley wins hands down

@MickScarborough Seeing as how the Sportster is THE longest continuous running line in the HD lineup it has more right to be called a "true" HD than any other bike in the lineup. Also what do you consider a "real" HD anyway? The sportster represents the bare bones heart and soul of HD bikes. Anyone that tries to tell you otherwise is a wannabe with no clue.

Chicks dig Hondas....not. Ever seen anyone with a Honda tattoo? Me neither, there is a reason for that, pride in ownership and comradere. I have owned both and the experience of owning a Harley is far supior.
