202 Startup

My (Fairly new) 202 in my UC torana. Idles and runs real nice. Same 400 gas research carby just a bigger manifold. Soon to get Yella terra head, roller rockers and a nice lumpy street cam. For now it runs a 17.03ET with a poor 1 sec reaction time on my behalf :P. [poor cam sound quality but i get a good cam job of it revving and on the street soon]

After this vid i put a yella terra head on it, roller rockers, and a big cam and it went very well. Biggest difference was the cam and head. together made it go well. Just putting a yella terra head on it doesnt do much i found unless you got the cam to take full advantage of the head.

Is it on gas now? Dual fuel or something? If you gona do it go straight gas so u can tune it properly. Gas research is expensive new but second hand (like this one) its affordable and was one of the best mods ive done. This is an old vid, its now running a pretty big (around bathurst XU-1) spec cam and goes hard for a 30y/o 6 on GAS!! Its worth it IMO but id definately get it all dyno tuned after. If i get a chance ill post up a new idle vid.

Yep, came factory with 173 or 202, but no V8's in the UC. Came with the 4cyl too but they were sunbirds.

Mine came factory with a 173, got a video of it at the drags with the 173 but it was stuffed, the 202 goes alot harder now (bit of work since this vid) more vids comin soon
