Tonya Harding performs her LP at the 1991 Nationals in Minneapolis MN. She made history with this program by being the first US woman to land the triple axel. She won this championship.

I remember watching all the ice skating competitions I could on basic stations (minus the cable my parents refused to have in the house.....lol) anyway I remember when the whole thing started with Christina Yamaguchi and Oksawna (spelling?), Nancy and Tonya and to see this beautiful performance then a couple years later the assault on Nancy was such a shame!!! Say what you want. It's unfortunate the path her life took, but she was absolutely one of the best skaters this country ever had, and no matter what else happened afterwards, nobody, but nobody can take this away from her!
