I must say I'm a little surprised this is not getting a lot of attention (yet?). The only downside to this concert for me is that I'm really unimpressed with the music by Tan Dun. Tchaikosvky (and Brahms?) comes across really energetically if on the fast side. All participants look completely at home, and, I might add, a little more involved then your main-stream professional orchestras. Very nice.

You know, a special thanks needs to go to Lang Lang and Tan Dun for putting this whole wonderful plan together. Lang Lang played down here in Toms River when he was going to Curtis Institute in Philly and was a mere 17 years old. I knew how was a rising star then. Lang lang is a musical genius and ambassador for classical music. His gifts are from God, as I told him on his website.
