That low brass rhythm at 2:25-ish will FOREVER be ingrained into my heart and mind. So much was it worked on and so special was it to me when it was performed out there on the field for all to see.
One of the most significant points in my adolescence were these four pieces. I've had tears in my eyes the whole time. On to Paradiso! The Company Front awaits!

@Sheldon2point0 - I think he meant that you can actually hear the vocals more prominently than in some recordings.
Not really liking the tambourine on this one, it feels too choppy and dotty, instead of a little more relaxed. Also not really enjoying (being a trumpet player and having played the solo before), how the soloist in this recording changes the rhythm completely instead of just messing with the tempo.
But I love how the horns and woodwinds make themselves known and play their parts

im in southwest dekalbs high school symphonic band in decatur ga and were playing this song for a rating i play the french horn and i was shocked at all the horn parts that were in here i hope we can pill it off

This piece is great and performed with such intensity! I love it! GO FRENCH HORNS! :D but I must say that the trumpet solo was really, really well done here!

we played this song last year in our Wind Ensemble! it was GREAT!!! GO FRENCH HORN!!!!!!!
