South Koreans protest naval base

Activists from Seoul and South Korea's mainland arrived on Peace Planes to join opposition to a naval base on scenic Jeju Island. After a brief press event at the airport the activists gathered near Gangjeong Village, site of the installation. Friday Police broke up a sit-in on the construction site, arresting dozens. Activists compared police behavior to the massacre of suspected North Korean sympathizers in April 3, 1948.
