Controlling PC using Wiimote. To do so, I use two candles, BlueSoleil and GlovePie.

After connecting the Wiimote with BlueSoleil, Install Windows's dummy HID drivers and establish a HID connection to the wiimote, I load "GlovePie" and load an "IR Mouse.pie" file from WiimoteScripts folder. Then I set the candles on fire, place them in front of the monitor - and enjoy. To download GlovePie, search it in Google.

  • What is the Wii Remote connected to? Arduino?

  • @AKSoapy29 Wii remote is connected to the PC via bluetooth and BlueSoleil

  • I've gotta say, when I read the description and saw "candles", I totally assumed it was BS, because it seemed so random to me. After watching the video and reading your explanations in the comments, I have to say, that is pretty awesome. :) I definitely want to try this... But will a couple of lightbulbs work? Or something similar? Not exactly comfortable lighting candles by my monitor.

  • @theoddone57 You can buy IR diodes from every Electronic store, or safe candles from every $1 store :)

  • i am doing this with 2 x IR led's but the mouse is very hard to control

  • @cjellwood you need to modify the script to ignore small movements :)

  • Can we use anything except candle?

  • @atakan196 Of course you can :) Wii remote needs ONLY TWO infrared light sources - it is what the Sensor bar is actually :)

  • Btw guys, you can use IR LED's from remotes, if your like me and worry that if you put candles on your desk, you'd set your house on fire.

  • @petersvp how i get bluesoleil

  • @cjellwood use a gun controler and use the wii its self to adjust the controler sentings in the wii setings under sensor bar i think the seting is on the wemote its self but it might have to do with how much power goes to the ir im going to get a wireless Sensor bar off ebay for 4 bucks

  • i noticed the same thing when i pointed the wiimote at the sun and got a response :D

  • lol i didnt know the sensor bars use was that.

Id still rather buy an $8 sensor bar then put fire near my laptop XD

  • omg didn't know that it whould also work with candles..
