This STH-10 and Thunderbolt 1003 are located on top of the BGSU campus. I was told the 1003 would activate as well, but never did. This siren is tested on the first saturday of the month at 10 am. BG used to have more 1003's, unknown if it was a solid system or not. In the beginning, another STH-10 can be heard at the FD which is no more than a 1/4 mile away.

  • I knew only the STH-10 would activate. The Thunderbolt has been in the same position since I first saw it 5 years ago. I didn't know there was another STH-10 over there too. Its not just STH-10s you're hearing at the beginning. Wood County has replaced all the old CD sirens that used to be in Bowling Green (All XT22s, and 1000Ts) With New 2001 sirens. Great Video!

  • @Toledo2T22 for 5 years?! wow, FD told me the thunderbolt was still active. how many 1003's did BG have?

  • @amtrak3501 We used to have 4 1003s and a 2t22 but they were all removed back in 2006 (except for this one). Last I heard this one activate was in the early 2000s

  • oh, that would've been so awesome to hear both go off together!

  • @Toledo2T22 Are we sure the T-bolt is not owned by the campus?

  • Sweet video. To bad the Thunderbolt didnt activate.

  • Man, it would have been awesome if they would have both been activated! Nice video man! :)

  • to bad they both didn't activate

  • @amtrak3501 Either that or the rotator is broken... But I think they only had this one. It was about a half mile south from where it was before, next to a small pond. The rest of the T-bolts I think were all 1000(t)s and there were a few xt22s too. And Obviously another STH-10 which I have yet too see lol

  • Great video!
