Iran closer to Nuclear weapons?

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced that his country will begin the production of highly enriched uranium for its medical reactor. At present Iran has been enriching uranium only to 3.5 percent, the level needed for use in its Bushehr nuclear power plant. The Tehran medical reactor will require 20 percent enriched uranium, a significant increase but still well short of the levels needed for weapons.

Global nuclear disarmament now. Look at the signatories of the Russell-Einstein manifesto, who can be considered a greater authority on the matter than the people who signed that manifesto. Wise counsel in all matters is offered by the likes of Bertrand Russell, Albert Einstein and Linus Pauling. Obama, Cameron and the rest of the world's leaders would be well served to listen.

@fallbackamericanrock please take look at history b4 u state ur opinion. look at Iraq-Iran war. Saddam was the one using chemical weapons on iranians. Saddam was the one killing his own people. not Iran.

Some iranian soldiers suicide bombs themselves to destroy the Iraqi tanks, or run through the hills of mines just to save their own people. not for going to heavens and meet 260 virgins.

@pbgw123 USA was the best country in the world. You may be a super power but all your private banks and capetalism has put the people in to economical mayhem. Living standards in like sweden finland norway england and so on are tons better. Here the money go to the people and not the banks and the hospitals will actually help even if you are a bum on the streets.
