I think it is a bad idea for newbies to put out how to videos. Its great you're getting into beekeeping, but leave the teaching to the experienced, please. Nothing wrong with telling of your experiences good or bad. I really love your dogs but I had to dislike your video anyway.

Dumb question here but, can you use wax paper as a foundation? Wax paper like you'd use to wrap a sandwich or something? Just wondering. Great videos and thanks!

guys, good luck. you should have put your nails from the top. as the beez will propolise the sides of the frame, you will discover that the splits you created by nailing the sides will be a pain in the rear end of your ford fiesta :) but hey, keep up the good work, and make the planet green. from a beekeeper far far away.

cool, good one!

Hi my roomate got someone to get rid of bees out of the house, but instead of removing them , they sraid them with a unknown chemical 2 years ago, How safe would the hoiney be by now? Or would it be best to get rid of the bees by killing them off. Do you think a transplanting them to a hive would be an ok idea? These bees kill off a few of the brood everyday and leave them in the yard to die a slow death crawling around. I step on those to put them out of their misery. thank you for your help

@RantVideos you need to contact a beekeeper who removes bees from houses. best to google that locally and contact your local beekeeping club, they will know someone.
don't kill the bees unless they are africanized, ( very aggressive strain of bees )

wow! great choice of hobbys. i am really looking forward to the the puting the bees in the hive step. how do you know the bees will use the right plastic or wax things for the use you intend?

you use a queen excluder, which is a grate-like separator that allows workers up in to the honey boxes, but the queen cannot get thru the small spaces, so she stays in the brood boxes.
thus only honey is kept in the upper boxes.
thx for watching
