Timothy Hughes discusses the history of newspapers and some of the "joys" of the hobby. The report of any historic event within the last 200-300 years can be found within old newspapers. Reading these hearty collectibles is like being in a time machine... like mining for gold! News from the day it was 1st reported! Whether you select an era from the list below, or use our search engine to find issues with specific content, our website provides a direct link into the past. Please enjoy!
I have a April 16th 1912 ST.Louis Post-Dispactch Home edition “full” newspaper that's in very good condition. It was found in my Grandmothers attic when she passed away 17 years ago. Would you have any idea of it's value. I was told in that time they were made of wood pulp and that it decreases the value. Thanks.

I would like to show this video to my high school journalism class, but Youtube is blocked at school. How can I download it to my computer at home?

I just wanted to say thank you for the service you offer.
I've recently purchased a few newspapers from you & am absolutely in love with them and the history.
I can't wait to purchase many many more.
