@Ryokushindo I see what you mean. And that's why our sensei teaches us how important it is to know how to block punch. Especially the soto uke, for direct punch. Our sensei said it's more important to know how to block because everyone can attack, but not everyone could defend. And it's obvious we cannot take punch forever if we don't block...

@Fullzerohacker say that again ! I agree with you, knowing how to block and counter the attack and also attacking at the right moment will help a man to beat an opponent who is bigger and heavier than him. This is the privilege of traditonal karate.

@TheMuShO92 Exactly! Everyone can punch but almost anyone cannot block so if you know how to block you'll be easily a better fighter than the other. But knowing how to counter attack is important too. Otherwise blocking would be pretty useless.
